NewXpat.com was started because a compulsive designer living abroad needed an outlet for the ideas that were taking up too much headspace. Fortunately, this is not the only purpose the site serves.

It is a freely open-community blogspace (worldwide community, that is) for anybody who wants to write, feature their music, art, photography (excluding amateur porn), or video (once again, excluding amateur porn). You add the content, and we’ll wrap some design around it if you so desire. Send us some samples, and if your stuff is better than a 5th-grader could come up with, we’re likely to give you an author account.

We’re all too happy to give localized organizations a foster or permanent home, feature local businesses or events, or basically lend out space to anything insightful, poignant, or opinionated (cynical or non).We’re simply offering a place for all things abroad.

But in the meantime, we don’t have much to feature (*cough* until you submit your goods*) so we’ll be posting up both useFUL and useLESS news and stuff from all the cracks we can find. Enjoy.
